Album Release Show Recap

My album release show was such a crazy, fun whirlwind! It was 7/16/22 at The Goldfish in Los Angeles.

I wanted to make it extra special so I went to the flower district in downtown L.A. that morning and bought 4 doz roses. My friends helped me hang them over the stage with some little gold stars; we also made corsages for the guys to wear (prom style!) and put them all around the bar.

It was such a great night! The band sounded great and it felt really good to play. All our hard work prepping for the show paid off.

My band that night was Charlie Weinmann on drums, Andy Moran on rhythm guitar, Seamus Blackwell on bass, and John Peter German on keys. This video was shot and edited by Emmanuel Vega.

Enjoy!

"Fallin" out on all streaming platforms

“Fallin” is out on all streaming platforms! It tells the story of falling in love on tour, long distance uncertainty, and falling into subsequential heartbreak.

This one is a little different than the others on my album. The lyrics are recited in a spoken word form and it’s layered with lush vocals and atmospheric guitars. I love the way it builds and falls away. It was produced by me and engineered by Mark Rains at Station House Studios. It features Evan Mui on bass, Joshua Gomez on drums, Andy Moran on rhythm guitar, and myself on piano and lead guitar.

This photo was taken by Evan Mui when we shot the music video, with art direction by me.

My album comes out next week! It’s been such a journey, I almost can’t believe it’s finally happening. Stay tuned :)

Fallin' Music Video premieres on Under the Radar Mag

Under the Radar Mag premiered my music video for “Falliin” and I’m so excited to share it! I had the vision for this video in my head for quite a while. I shot the white room scenes back in 2020 with Evan Mui (and some were shot using self timer). The rest was shot with Mauricio Cimino Campodonico in the fall of 2021. I produced and art directed it, with Mauricio and I both directing.

About the song:

“I never intended to write a spoken word song, but this one just came out that way, so I went with it. “Fallin’” tells the story of falling in love while out on the road; it tells the story of closeness, distance, longing, and an eventual ending of falling back into loneliness. Sometimes when I’m crushed and really going through heartbreak, writing is the only way to process and heal.”

"Down the Street" Premiere

“Down the Street” premiered on Buzzbands LA! Check it out. They describe the song as “a crisply strummed, ’70s-styled pop song.” I can’t argue with that!

I produced and directed this one, and we threw it together in just a few weeks. I’m really stoked on how it came out! I had the best camera/editing team, Angel Origgi and Marlon Rodriguez, and also my sister as a production assistant/tambourine player, and my band starring as themselves! We had so much fun making this. I hope you enjoy watching it :)
